I often wonder why we tell ourselves that we are people who live in a society when really our society consists of what we explore and contribute to as people. We don’t live in a society – we live to build a society in that benefits us.
This pandemic has reorganized my priorities, my time, and what I thought the world and society was transforming into. See, I felt like we were starting to really get to our peek. I felt like everyone was finally starting to get things right. People were getting their finances in order. People were investing. People were saving. People were starting to do work they love. People were starting to build balance in their lives in terms of health, wellness, and those they love. People were learning to love themselves. People were learning what actually mattered to them.
Then this shift in the way the world operates, not only put everything on a pause, but for some stunted progress and even shattered any progress.
See, it’s not that I am overlooking the effects of what caused everything to come to a pause. It’s that I am being realistic about how the government has let us down. All our progress in society – gone, lost, broken and dwindling down. In my opinion, how is that the right thing to do? After we all have worked so hard.
I’m not a political person. My opinion isn’t just based on my feeling towards this either. It’s what I see and what I observe and what I ponder.
To me, society needs functional people and progress for it flourish. It simply creates slow uncertainties in industries and areas that were on their way to flourish otherwise. It’s like we’re starting all over.
I would love to hear some conversation about this topic. I love being able to have conversations about the topic and if your opinion is in disagreement with mine so as long as no one is rude or showing blatant disrespect. So please do share in the comments below!
